ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is best suited to a software engineering graduate or self-taught developer who would like to join an innovative, and forward-thinking software development and services company, working with market-leading brands to deliver complex software solutions. The successful candidate must share our company values demonstrating trustworthiness, work ethic, ambition, and morals.   

As a Software Engineer at Koderly, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and testing both new and existing components for our market-leading travel technology. You’ll also be involved in new product development. Our engineers work across the entire development stack, using the latest technologies and tools, including: 

  • .NET Framework / .NET Standard / .NET Core / .NET 5.0+ 
  • C# 9.0 
  • NodeJS 
  • JavaScript, including SPA frameworks such as Angular, React and VueJS 
  • SQL Server 
  • Elasticsearch 
  • OAuth 2.0

  • Visual Studio 2019

ABOUT YOU 

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualities. 

  • Experience in web development technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS 
  • A solid understanding of an object-orientated language, such as C# and Java 
  • A solid understanding of relational database design concepts and T-SQL 
  • Exposure and knowledge of cloud platforms and services (such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) 
  • Awareness of containerisation technologies, dev-ops processes and version control systems  
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to work off your own initiative, with a completion mentality 
  • A strong desire for continuous personal development

Saving for a pension is important, so we’ll match your employee contributions up to 6%.

Income Replacement

On top of our generous sick pay policy, we insure our employees so that they continue to get paid when off sick for a prolonged period of time. The insurance policy will pay a percentage of your basic salary after the initial deferral period.

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption

We offer 12-weeks full pay during maternity and adoption leave, and 2-weeks full pay for paternity leave, providing peace of mind and security for you and your family. 

Holiday Accrual

All employees get at least 21 days holiday per year, on top of the bank and public holidays in England. Your holiday allowance increases by one day per year of service, up to 25 days.

Training and Development

The training and development of our employees is critical to the success of Koderly.

Our programme is tailored to the needs of each employee, and we have an exam centre where you can sit your professional exams, including Microsoft and Cisco certifications. On-the-job training is provided, and colleagues, Directors, and external providers deliver scheduled training sessions almost every week, across a range of subject areas.

Our employees receive half a day of Personal Development Time (PDT) every week, to develop their skills. You will also be able to register your interest in approved conferences, and external training courses which will be funded by the company, this includes sqlbits and Lead Dev.

Games

Our breakout area consists of a pool table, foosball, table tennis, Xbox, Wii, and board games. Perfect for socialising with your colleagues or if you just want some downtime!

Staff Outings

We host up to 3 official, fully-funded company events each year, so you can enjoy some time with your colleagues outside of the office.
