After a rigorous assessment process, we’re pleased to announce that we have received a silver accreditation from Investors in People, a standard for people management. This award proves how our people are actively engaged in ensuring the consistency of the principles and practices covered in the Investors in People standard.
From the initial context meeting through to the conclusion of the assessment there was a strong narrative indicating that Web Applications UK Ltd is an organisation with a clearly defined ethos and sense of purpose.
Our mission remains to positively impact our employees, customers and community through a culture of learning, growth and innovation.
Our ethos defines us, so it’s important that we all share the same beliefs. Circulated around the company, our ethos is widely used in the decision-making process.
We spend the majority of our time investing in our people, whether this is from a learning perspective, or from a social standpoint. We’re always looking for new ways to learn, grow and change. For this reason, we applied for the Investors in People accreditation.
Web Applications UK Ltd has demonstrated how people and leaders are actively engaged in ensuring the consistency of the principles and practices covered in the Investors in People Standard. The organisation has demonstrated at least Established level practices across all nine indicators and Advanced practices in four of these. Therefore, Web Applications UK Ltd has been recognised with Silver accreditation.
The online assessment benchmarking facility found, that we are ahead of the sector average on all nine indicators in the Investors in People standard. The assessors also found that we have an effective approach to the management of equality and diversity, strong employee feedback response, and a wide understanding and belief in our mission and ethos.
We were also humbled to achieve the Health and Wellbeing award, demonstrating advanced level practices against the themes of physical, psychological and social wellbeing. This is a big stepping stone for us, as we’re constantly trying to improve our approach to health and wellbeing in the workplace.
We’re extremely pleased with the accreditation, which proves we’re not only investing in our people, but also considering their overall wellbeing. We are going to reflect on the feedback, and continue to drive for improvements in the future.
